So that we don't have to hide from the sun for so long again at lunchtime, we decided to set the car free and explore the area. It takes about half an hour to dismantle the roof tent and interior bed.
We went to Birling Gap to admire the chalk cliffs and waves.
Then we went in search of a sleeping bag and food in Eastbourne.
After finding a parking space, I was unsure for the first few meters if we would ever see the car again. The area looked a bit run-down. However, it was directly adjacent to a shopping street where we could get what we wanted. The audience was very mixed. Many homeless people, but also many who seemed to be doing better. The proportion of well-fed people was also very high.
It was definitely interesting.
Back at the campsite, we set everything up again - as you can see with considerable help from Moritz.
