The next day, the weather is better and we explore the surf beaches --> you could spend hours watching the surfers in the waves. Huge waves are rolling in and we walk through the black sand and dip our toes into the Pacific for the first time - brrr cold ;)

We decided to drive to the Waitomo Caves today to book a rafting tour for the next morning through a glowworm cave. After that, we explored a bushwalk through natural cave passages and ran into soaking wet rafting groups there --> the anticipation is rising --> Early to bed as our tour is supposed to start at 8:30 and according to the information lady, we should be there by 7:30.

We stayed overnight at a free parking lot near a nice remote restaurant.
