The drive to Lüderitz today took about 4.5 hours and about halfway through, the landscape suddenly changed. The Namib Desert showed its face and it reminded me a lot of the Atacama... We could also feel the shock of the cold Atlantic Ocean, as the temperature suddenly dropped to "only" 25 degrees...
In Lüderitz, which is really beautiful, we visited Dias Point right after checking in. It's a peninsula that is rarely visited by tourists. We don't know why, but the approximately 3-hour excursion was more than worth it. Stunning views of the very cold Atlantic Ocean and a ghost town at Dias Point, it felt like being one of the 5 friends exploring the abandoned houses... One of them must have been a person from Frankfurt, as the bottle of Apple Cidre clearly proves...
At the end of the day, we went to the best fish restaurant in town with an impressive wine wall...
