68. Kassandra-> Cape Paliouri

68. Tag: Like the past few days, it is cloudy this morning, and it is expected to remain that way throughout the day. Therefore, we take it easy and start with a refreshing swim in the sea at our lovely campsite. We are delighted to see little gaps in the cloudy sky, creating golden shimmering islands on the sea.

Later in the morning, we drive to the southern tip of Kassandra to hike to Cape Paliouri. The trail takes us up and down along the rocky coastline of the cape. It offers us glimpses of the rugged cliffs that drop into the sea. It would be so beautiful if the sunlight could bring the colors of the water to life. Despite the gray haze, we enjoy the pleasant temperatures and the fauna around us.

Afterwards, we stock up on supplies for the next few days at Lidl and then have dinner in Siviri. Once again, the food is very good and affordable. We are starting to have a more positive image of Greek cuisine. Since we moved away from the tourist hotspots, the quality has improved noticeably and the prices have dropped significantly!

At nightfall, we find a place to park at Cape Possidi. It is also overlooking the sea and just behind the beach, but not as beautiful as last night.
