Day 12: The sky is already filled with clouds in the morning. Soon the first drops fall, and that's how it stays all day. That's why today we're skipping sightseeing and focusing on moving forward and essential tasks like refilling gas bottles.
We make slow progress along the Croatian and Montenegrin coasts. Too many curves, local traffic, and pets on the road.
You can only imagine that the coast here with the steep mountains in the background and the rugged coastline could be quite attractive in sunshine. However, we had the impression that the reasonably accessible coastal strips have already been largely developed.
The number of pets and potholes increases significantly in Montenegro. Even in Tirana, some roads are in a terrible condition!
In the end, we end up on a tiny farm located on the top of a hill near Tirana. The driveway is hair-raising, but Birgit masters the maneuver brilliantly. We are warmly welcomed at the top. We will definitely have a peaceful night here.
