The last few days it has been raining a lot and the maximum temperature was 28 degrees. Luckily, we have good raincoats with us. :) The fleece jackets were also frequently used in the past few days. It's strange to walk around in long pants and a jacket in summer temperatures. Fortunately, the bad weather is over now and the sun is supposed to shine for Easter. ☉🌞
Patrick's first week of work is almost over, which he is quite happy about. He works as an automotive manufacturing at Thrifty - a car rental company based in Darwin. The 'workshop' is a large warehouse without hoists. They work on the floor all day. They don't really have tools either. Everything is screwed by hand, and there is no torque wrench for tightening. The bumper is cut out with a flex, the protruding remnants are removed with gardening shears. Holes are drilled to push out the dents, and then the body is pulled out with a nail. Afterwards, a lot of filler is used. The automotive manufacturing also handles the painting, just painting without any protection. A little dust in the paint is normal.
Patrick has to get used to working without tools and without instructions. A new experience!
Tonight we're finally moving. Finally back to the city. 😋 We have rented a room with a bathroom, and we share the rest of the apartment with a nice Indian woman. There is also a pool and a gym in the building. 🤗
