Langkawi, ramngaw leh brumbrum

I've arrived in Langkawi by now. It's a great place to stay. Fortunately, it was cloudy yesterday and today, which makes it much more pleasant.

I didn't do much the first evening. I was exhausted from the journey here. I have a small individual hut with a balcony right next to the jungle. As a result, you can see a lot of wildlife here. The resort is extremely beautifully designed and you can hardly walk along the path without encountering a frog or a lizard. There are plenty of signs warning me to remove everything from the balcony, as the monkeys will steal anything that is not nailed down. :-D

Today, I got myself a big 125cc scooter and a matching Beverly Hills Cop helmet to explore the island.

Forget about the attractions here... I just love riding around with the scooter and stopping at beautiful spots. I like to slow down when I see locals cooking by the roadside, and ideally stop to sample their food.

On the road through the jungle, I have to regularly swerve to avoid monkeys blocking the way. Those little bastards are everywhere <3

Now I'm going to find something to eat and have some duty-free beer. By the way, my stomach is still as white as before! Just fatter!
