Day 2 Coromandel

Waking up early in the morning, the first sunrise in New Zealand, a dream! After a leisurely breakfast, we set off around noon. The jetlag is still noticeable.

The night was cool, but it gets really warm from noon onwards, and driving along the narrow, winding coastal road from Ray's Rest to Thames and Whakatene Beach to Coromandel always brings new surprises with a "wow" effect. The landscape is a daring mixture of the Allgäu region and a tropical island.
