Day 16 - Rotorua, Hot Springs Wai-O-Tapu und Lady Knox

Today we visited the Hot Springs in Rotorua. First we went to the Lady Knox Geyser, then we went to Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland. Here you can see colorful springs which consist of hot springs. These can be oil, mud or water pools that take on intense colors due to volcanic activity.

There are also cicadas here that chirp extremely loudly. And I finally managed to spot one and snap a photo!

We packed in the afternoon and are heading back to Christchurch tomorrow. We also tried out the whirlpool.
