Yesterday morning it was -30° here and today it's -31°, but you get used to it relatively quickly. Yesterday afternoon we drove to Vanderhoof and watched a basketball game with John. His team won 54 to 7 ;). On the way back, we brought a little kitten with us, which now lives in my room because it's the only cat-friendly room. This morning, after feeding, I took a walk with King. I noticed that there's nothing around here, except cows and a few trees, which I actually think is cool. After lunch, we vaccinated 8 sheep, which we had to select from the 200 first.
It feels like I've been here for much longer than 3 days, but I've already settled in well. And there's cool food here. My two main foods are: meat and chocolate, because there really isn't anything else here. And sometimes there's ice cream too. But that's funny here too. They don't eat their ice cream in bowls, but in plates as big as the ones we use for lunch. Yes, everything is bigger here.
My daily routine is always similar: in the morning, give water to the cows and sheep and feed the horses. Then do something different every now and then. Around 11, we drive the tractor with hay bales to all the fields. Then it's lunchtime. I have to check the water everywhere again. And in the evening, I only need to check the water again. At the moment, there's not so much work yet, only in January, when the sheep have their lambs and the first cows start calving.
