For an especially urgent business trip, I had to apply for a China Express Visa. There are certain requirements to be observed when submitting the application so that the visa application can be processed in time. Express China Visas are only possible for business trips.
A business trip to China is often decided on at very short notice, leaving little time for travel preparations. Most of the time, there are only a few days left until the departure date and the China Express Visa must be obtained quickly. Those who are not familiar with visa procurement usually have a hard time here and have to take care of many things at the same time. The necessary documents must be procured within a certain timeframe and the visa application must be filled out completely and in accordance with the requirements, and submitted to the Chinese visa office on time.
For Express China Visas, the following documents are required in addition to the completed visa application:
- A passport with at least 6 months validity remaining
- A copy of the first page of the passport
- A colored and biometric passport photo
- Proof of bookings for the entire stay (e.g., hotel reservations)
- Proof of booked entry and exit (flight bookings)
If the visa application is complete with the above-mentioned documents, it must be received at the Chinese visa office by 11:00 am so that the China Express Visa can be issued within 24 hours at the earliest. If the documents arrive later, the processing of the documents will take at least 48 hours. It should also be noted that only a certain Chinese visa office is responsible for each state, depending on the state in which one lives. Therefore, it is advisable to inquire beforehand which visa office to go to in order to avoid unnecessary trips or journeys.
For my trip, where everything had to be organized particularly quickly, I turned to a visa agency. Especially in such situations without any time left, it is recommended to hire a visa agency. Professional employees provide detailed information about time and formal requirements and handle the entire process of applying for Express China Visas directly through the agency. This ensures that the application is complete and filled out correctly and that the documents comply with the requirements of the visa office. It also saves you long distances and waiting times, and if there are any uncertainties, you can immediately clarify them with the experienced employees of the agency. If you need to expedite the process, some visa agencies even offer delivery of a China Express Visa to an airport. I found this service particularly recommendable. I used it and would have not received my visa on time otherwise and might have had to reschedule my flight.
Consulting with and applying through a visa agency is a very effective way to obtain a visa. The agency's staff is always informed about current requirements and changes at the Chinese visa offices and offers comprehensive service. In my case, I was able to save a lot of time and effort for a small fee.
