A cold morning awaits us. Everything goes quickly, and we are early on the road. It is 100 miles to Mesa Verde NP. On one hand, there is beautiful nature, and on the other, an archaeological site with excavations and ancient cliff dwellings. Everything can only be explored by car. The Ancestral Pueblo People lived here from around 550 to 1300 AD. The drives, with many photo stops, took about 3 hours, and we only saw about 50%. Next, we head to Utah. A fantastic landscape of sandstone awaits us. We can hardly keep up with the photography. The picture with the Mexican Hat gave the settlement its name. Here, we found a nice hotel in a wonderful landscape. Tomorrow, the next highlight awaits, Monument Valley.
