Foretelling this was the highlight of my trip so far! The tour started in Thakhek and led through the eastern mountains at an altitude between 300m and 600m above sea level.

Equipped with 125cc, we raced past the heavy trucks on our way to Vietnam. The landscape changed between karst mountains and deep green jungle.

Caves, viewpoints, and turquoise lakes offered a welcome break.

The highlight was the Tham Kong Lo cave, which we crossed by boat for 6.3 km. Despite the darkness, we could get a glimpse of the magnitude of the up to 100m high and 60m wide halls with a flashlight.

435 km on the scooter was not only exhausting for the body but also for the material. Just before sunset, we had two flat tires. But thanks to the helpfulness of the locals, this was not a big annoyance.
