Hello everyone,

Today we had a rough plan for the day, but there were already some delays shortly after waking up.

Originally, we wanted to take the ferry at 10 o'clock (we found the timetables online) and leave at 9:15, but we discarded that plan.

When we woke up, we noticed that there was no hot water. We had experienced this a few times before and it was always a fuse. So we called reception to send a plumber. Unlike the previous few times, it was not a fuse today, they had to replace the entire fixture...

By the time they were done, it was already 9:15 and now we didn't have to rush anymore, because we couldn't possibly make the 10 o'clock ferry and the next one didn't leave until 12:30.

We packed up calmly and checked out at 11:30. Meanwhile, it started raining and we were thinking about the slippery road, the heavy luggage, and the scooter plagued by flat tires... So we ordered a taxi again to take us, including the scooter, to the port.

We barely made it to the port at 12:20. We returned the scooter, ran to the ticket sales counter, and: there is actually no ferry from Koh Chang to Koh Kood!!! Great, such an online schedule....

We quickly found out how to get to our destination and about 15 minutes later we were on a ferry back to the mainland. After a 30-minute ride, we reached the port and asked for directions on how to get to Koh Kood. They told us that the last ferry had already left at 2:20 and the ride to the correct port would take an hour (by the way, it was already 1:30 at that time). We jumped right into a taxi, reached the port at 2:15, got another ticket, and actually made it onto the ferry to Koh Kood ☺️.

We arrived at our final destination island at 3:30 and immediately got a scooter at the port - this time a slightly newer model.

Upon arrival, we noticed that Koh Kood is obviously a somewhat more exclusive island, as most guests on the boat were traveling with suitcases - there were only a few backpacks. Additionally, we had to show our booking confirmation before being allowed on the boat. Without a hotel, we probably wouldn't have been able to get on this ferry ☺️

The ride to the hotel only took 20 minutes and again led through the jungle 90% of the time.

We really like our accommodation and we are completely satisfied! For the island end of this year, we decided on a bungalow right by the sea ☺️

We sat down for a moment, but not for long, because we were extremely hungry!

After the short break, we hopped back on the scooter and drove to a restaurant. We stopped at the first one we found, without a special view or cozy decor - but incredibly cheap and really delicious food!

Freshly strengthened, we continued to a beach and watched a wonderful sunset. The colors today were so intense! For a short time, the sky glowed fiery red, as if it were on fire!

On the way back, we passed by a bar that fascinated us for inexplicable reasons.

The entrance was reached via stairs, so you couldn't see what it looked like inside from the street. At the bottom of the stairs stood the owner, behind a frying pan, right by the road.

Curious, we took off our shoes, as is customary here, and walked up the stairs.

Inside the bar, there was a very pleasant atmosphere, the decor was very simple but cozy, and there was soft music playing in the background. Other guests from North Tyrol were kind enough to give us some guidance: "If you want something to drink, you can help yourself at the fridge, the cash register is next door."

We grabbed a beer, paid by ourselves, and sat down on a lounge chair that had been converted into a chair and watched the peaceful hustle and bustle. The owner brought us some of his food to try, which tasted really good! He constantly scooped freshly cooked food into large bowls and everyone could help themselves and eat as much as they wanted. A little later, he sat in the middle of the bar and started making music - really good! He sang, played guitar, at the same time he had a harmonica in use, and rattles on his feet, which he skillfully used. He started with a Thai song, then switched to English, and between songs he chatted with the guests, drank a beer, and smoked a cigarette.

At the beginning, we found the bar completely strange, it's not usual to just take what you want and behave as if you were at home. But after a while, it actually became very cozy and from time to time we had relaxed conversations with other guests.

At around 8 o'clock, we happily made our way home and sat down for a while on the porch of our bungalow.

Now we hope for really good beach weather tomorrow and say:

See youuuu ☺️
