Sleepy Lolland

ຈັດພີມມາ: 05.09.2022

Our tour of Lolland begins at a lighthouse. From there, we took our coastal walk to Stevens Klint, including the church. This church is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Fascinating piece of land. When you enter the church, there are only a few church benches and a pulpit. Where the altar is supposed to be, there is simply a door to the sea. On the way to the southernmost point of Denmark, we stopped briefly in Marielyst. Here you can walk across the sea without getting wet. A bit like Jesus. A bridge was built across the beach and a section into the water. The special thing about it is that you walk in a circle instead of back and forth.

Arriving at the southernmost point of Denmark, it was quite windy, so we had to park the car in the wind to prevent it from overturning. From here, the ferry goes to Rostock. You still have to walk about 1km to the actual point. Maybe a little less, but walking against the wind makes it feel like more. And we walked the same way back the next morning because we wanted to photograph the sunrise. And we had a great sunrise.

After breakfast and a second nap, we explored Nysted. One of the many harbor towns here.

Our further journey took us to the Dodekalitten.
