About my birthday we spent the days on Fraser Island.
At 6 o'clock on Monday we packed the cars and made our way to the ferry.
Upon arrival on the island, we drove along the beach with our jeeps.
First, we headed to Lake Mckazie. We swam, sunbathed, and enjoyed the morning.
Then we continued towards the rainforest where we took a little walk and had our lunch.
Before heading to the camp, we walked to the sand dunes. It took us about 45 minutes until we finally reached the point where we could go sandboarding.
We spent hours there, had fun, played games, and watched the sunset at the end of the day.
Afterwards, we went to the camp where we set up our tents and had dinner together.
On my birthday, we visited the Champagne Pool and the Sweetwater River, where we swam and had a picnic.
We also visited the shipwreck Frack, which is now one of the biggest attractions in Australia.
There we even encountered free-roaming dingoes, who leisurely walked along the beach.
In the evening, we went back to the sand dunes to take some birthday pictures before we fell exhausted into bed.
The last day of the Fraser Island tour was very rainy.
Nevertheless, we packed our bathing suits and rain jackets and went to Lake Wabby.
A 2 km hike to the lake, where there were fish that nibbled the calluses off our feet.
Along the sand dunes into the rainforest.
Finally, we drove to a picnic area where we all enjoyed our lunch before heading back to Rainbow Beach.
Next, we will continue to Brisbane.
