Winter-Blog ❄️🌨️

Hello and welcome to my winter blog. 🙋🏼‍♀️❄️

Yes, it is really so cold here in Ansbach that the snow from the last few days has remained. Yes, okay... We are here in Bavaria too. 😄 I gave you a few impressions in the picture gallery. The first four pictures were taken on a winter walk with two roommates from my shared apartment. 📸

Now I just wanted to tell you what happened to me in the second half of November before I fully enter December. 😃

As you probably know, I work in a photography store in my city. The managing director is retiring at the end of the year and that's why we as the Ansbach branch were at the farewell party. It was an exceptionally cool program. 😊 Poems, speeches, plays and much more were presented... The play made me grin. A situation was re-enacted that had actually happened in one of our stores. 😂 And yes... sometimes you really have to show patience, love and understanding to customers, even if the customer behaves in an impossible way. 😅 I can say from experience that you experience a lot. I'm just saying... lots of different people with their personalities. 🙃

There was a raffle and a delicious meal. The managing director also thanked us employees with a nice gesture. There were around 70-80 people. Very exciting to see faces with all the names. 🙂

At the end of November we had an excursion to the New Museum in Nuremberg from my Culture & Lifestyle focus. I took a photo of a work of art because I will be giving a talk about it at the end of December. 😄 With that I have already completed one of my exam tasks for this semester in this course. The term paper on an artist's personality is still due, as the second part of the exam for my focus. 👨🏼‍🎨

I can also quickly talk about my other ideas. So in audio journalism, a fellow student and I are doing a podcast about grief. If you are interested in hearing this, please write to me.

In video journalism, my team and I will film a report about the Flic-Flac circus from Nuremberg.

In media production this semester I am creating a magazine report.

Then there are two written or multiple-choice exams waiting for me. Once in the subject of digital journalism in the area of AI (artificial intelligence) and in the subject of media reception and media effects research in the area of media psychology. You can only learn... 😅🥲 That's it, the exams for this semester.

A small insert: For the podcast we have so far been able to interview someone who lost his wife in his mid-30s, a head doctor and a grief counselor.

On the way to the district clinic in Ansbach, where my fellow student and I had an interview with the head doctor, I was actually stopped by the police at 9 a.m. last Monday to carry out a general traffic check. This really hasn't happened to me yet. 😂

But well, how did that come about? Here's my explanation: I was looking for a parking space and therefore drove slower. I think I looked very suspicious to the police. 🧐 That also explained the question of whether I had consumed alcohol or taken marijuana. I thought I was crazy. 🤣 That's how I looked at the police officers too: confused to the point of not working anymore...

But when I was asked where I wanted to go and I said that I had an appointment at the district hospital (psychiatry), there was no particular reaction. 🤔Mhhh...weird too. 😂

When one police officer wanted to do a test with me, he was stopped by the other police officer because he believed me. Well, long story short... of course I was allowed to continue driving. 🤗 I arrived at the appointment a little upset. That doesn't happen every day... But I also think it was the car. I'm currently driving a borrowed, slightly older car with a very striking color...

But the interview went well and we have the audio material we need to continue building the podcast. 😇

I was in my home country for one of the interviews because the man who lost his wife is a good friend of mine and lives nearby. Of course I combined this with a short visit to my home. There I received a small projector as a gift from my dad. 🎁 I had to try it out with my sister. I also tried it out at home in Ansbach. Since then, we sometimes use the projector to watch something together. We have enough white walls. 😁

Now let's get back to my university stuff... I told you about my compulsory internship in the 5th semester, which starts in October 2024 and lasts half a year. I am now happy to announce that I will be doing my internship at ProSieben in the editor-in-chief in Munich!! 🎉🥳 My internship will start at the beginning of September. I'm really excited to see what awaits me there. 😊 That also means: I will live in Munich for six months. I still can't believe it myself. 🙃🫣

What lies ahead next time? 🤭 We'll be shooting a lot for our report next week, I still have to write and record two introductions as an interim exam. Speech training is also on the agenda this semester and next Monday (12/11/23) my sofa for my room will arrive. 😍

We've also planned another shared meal with a movie night that day.🍕🎥 I'm looking forward to that! But I do wonder what it will be like if I don't live in the shared apartment for six months. 😉 I will definitely report on this at the end of next year.

So now you know everything exciting that's going on in my life. As I said, it never gets boring. 🤣 Be it in my work, in my everyday life or in the interaction with other people in my studies.

I wish you a good end to 2023 and a happy new year 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣4️⃣, in case we don't see each other anymore and God's blessing on your further journeys... 😇 🎆

Will I see you in my January post next year? I'm definitely looking forward to seeing you! ✨
