This morning we decided to give the sunrise another chance, so we set off to Boroka Lookout at 6am. From two platforms, you could enjoy the beautiful view - a beautiful view that was obscured by clouds. Despite that, the sunrise was still beautiful to watch as we were above the clouds. It had a mystical feel to it.

We then went to another lookout in Mt. Grampians, surrounded by eucalyptus trees that smelled wonderful. This lookout was also very cloudy, but it made for some good photos. And yes, we climbed a little beyond the platforms ;)

We drove back to the hostel briefly to have breakfast and check out. Then, at around 10am, we headed to the Pinnacle Walk. It's a 2.5-hour hike (round trip). The sun broke through the clouds and it became really beautiful - and quite warm with our long clothing. We weren't used to that after the cold days before ;). Once we reached the top, we had a breathtaking view. We could see a long way into the distance and even spotted a lake that we could have seen from Boroka Lookout. After our hike, we drove back to Boroka Lookout to enjoy the view without clouds again.

Our next destination was McKenzie Falls. When we arrived at the parking lot, we were immediately surprised. Just 2 minutes away from the car, we spotted two large emus. Of course, we were not the only tourists. It seemed like the emus felt threatened and didn't know where to go. One of them walked straight towards Anna and me - for a brief moment, I thought 'this is it! I'm about to be attacked by this animal'. Fortunately, it changed direction 1 meter before us and disappeared into the green.

The path to McKenzie Falls was partly steep, with small steps along the way. It was muddy, wet, or generally slippery here and there. But it was definitely worth it. To see the full beauty of the waterfall, we had to cross a small river. None of us slipped :) We stayed there for a while, enjoying the sun and the atmosphere - it was simply more than beautiful. I hope the pictures give you an idea of how incredible all the places are that I've discovered on my journey so far!

At around 4pm, we drove towards Port Campbell - our destination for today. When we were at the foot of Mt. Grampians, we spotted a lot of kangaroos on a sports field. Wild kangaroos peacefully grazing. We had to make a quick stop! We approached the cute animals carefully, and surprisingly, they didn't run away. We were able to even pet some of them, but we avoided sudden movements. Much better than at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary!
