After three weeks mostly spent in the city, I needed to get out into nature. So, I took my bike and rode along the Kedron Brook Bikeway to the sea๐. From there, I followed the Moreton Bay Cycleway, which mostly runs along the water.
Brisbane is heaven for cyclists. In and around the city, there are plenty of modern bike paths. They are clearly marked and well-maintained.
The goal of my day trip was the town of Redcliffe, which is 45km from the center of Brisbane and right by the sea๐. Along the way, you'll come across fishermen selling their freshly caught crabs๐ฆ and shrimps๐คon the roadside. You'll also see many locals kayaking๐ถ, stand-up paddling, and swimming.
Once I arrived in Redcliffe, I strolled along the idyllic lake promenade. Surprisingly, many shops were still open, so I had a good selection to buy something for lunch. Local "Fish and Chips" were just what I needed. I enjoyed my lunch with a view of the sea. After lunch, I rode back to Brisbane in the afternoon.
