Day 50 - Singapore - Flower Dome - Cloud Forest - Flyer (Ferris Wheel)

Tuesday was the day: the last day in Singapore began. There was a bit of sadness because we felt very comfortable.

It all started with breakfast... I used the coffee machine to find out how I could have my coffee/cappuccino made to suit my needs. That was pretty cool. I was already feeling confident for the day. 😁. From the options available, we finally decided on the Flower Dome and the Cloud Forest.

We drove to our stop in “Gardens by the Bay” with a driver via Grab. Since the weather was very good, many tourists went elsewhere and we had a little more space around us, so to speak, which always makes me personally much happier.

Then we entered the Flower Dome (after purchasing the tickets). We found a lot of plants and trees of all kinds from different regions of the world. The dome is very colorful and it must be an incredible job to keep it all in good condition. Of course, a photo wall with flowers shouldn't be missing there 😃👍🏻.

We then went to the cloud forest. In our opinion, it's a little more interesting. After entering we were greeted by a dragon. There are waterfalls behind it. Avatars and animals from this world can be seen everywhere. The entire area is underpinned with appropriate background noise. Another dragon that can move and make sounds caused a lot of emotions among the children. From “hiding behind the parents”, to “running away”, to falling into absolute paralysis, everything was there 😅. There is also a darkened room full of effects, in which a floor has been installed that reacts to movements with lights and animations. There are also a lot of plants to be seen in the Cloud Forest. However, the focus is increasingly on “forest” and trees as well as the world of avatars. All in all we really liked it. We can only recommend checking it out.

In the afternoon we did a few laps in the pool before it started raining. We think it was a monsoon because - from our perspective - it was quite heavy and persistent. There are no seasons in Singapore - only dry and rainy seasons. The rainy season begins in November.

We had dinner at the hotel and then were waiting on hot coals for it to finally stop raining. I noticed that all the water drained off the road very, very quickly. No water has collected anywhere. In the evening we had something else planned: ride the Ferris wheel 🎡. With a height of 165 m, it is the third largest Ferris wheel in the world, after Dubai and Las Vegas. A journey takes around 30 minutes. There are 28 gondolas, each of which can hold 28 people. Unfortunately, the visibility was a little impaired due to the water on the windows, but it was still a really, really great experience. Being so high above the city with all the lights was a real goosebumps moment. By the way, we were able to watch the laser show at the Supertrees from above, which we really enjoyed. That was a really worthy farewell to Singapore ☺️.

Kind regards from Dubai 😊
