From Frankfurt to Halifax

The adventure begins

On July 3, 2023, it's finally happening. Freddy gets a tracker on his collar in the morning and is lured into his travel bag. Everything is very exciting and a bit hectic. We have to leave, our son Erik is punctual - you never know, the journey from Hohberg to Frankfurt can be long. Everything works perfectly and Erik drops us off at Frankfurt Airport at 12 o'clock sharp. Now quickly take a photo, give a warm hug, and the three of us set off through the airport jungle. Check-in, drop off luggage - all pretty easy 😊 BUT: at the security check they say: please take the cat out of the bag 🙀🙀🙀. But the friendly man at the counter says it's a joke. Well, after helping Freddy back into his collar, which he had already half taken off, he played along like a pro - out of the bag, bag x-rayed, voluntarily back into the bag ‼️ Just like a pro -

Everything works, we are sweating, all formalities are done, we are right on time, when suddenly - the flight from Frankfurt to Halifax has a 2-hour delay -

Well, eventually we take off, we're sitting on the plane -

Freddy in his little bag on my table (comfortable is different) but we can manage

Of course it doesn't get dark... We arrive punctually at 7 pm in Halifax, Canada 🇨🇦

Everything runs smoothly here. The airport staff is incredibly friendly and helpful.

Claudia and Rudi, dear friends from the Baltic Sea, who have created a beautiful home here in Nova Scotia/Lunenburg, pick us up and spoil us and help us with everything until we have everything settled with MANNI in the coming days.
