Hongkong is calling

Good evening,

Greetings from still 26 degrees warm Hong Kong 🇭🇰 (00:00 now 😛)

After our slip-up last night, we weren't amused when our alarm clock went off at 06:45🙄🙄 but as you know, we're such cheerful people that we didn't care after 5 minutes (not).

We then arrived at Yangshuo train station on time with the private shuttle. Then we had to go back to Guilin (further north) to change trains and from there to Shenzhen (3 hours highspeed). Since we are experienced travelers when it comes to Chinese trains, noooo problem for us bitches👌🏽😂

Shenzhen is located right on the border with Hong Kong.

In theory, Hong Kong belongs to China, but because they are a special administrative region and autonomous (they also have left-hand traffic here🙄), we have to "leave" China. (Thanks England for the colonial era - thanks to you it's so complicated 😡).

Well, first we drove around Shenzhen for an hour and then spent an hour going first through Chinese control and then through Hong Kong's control. You can't miss the control because it feels like there is a sign saying "foreigner" above every row 🙄🤦🏽‍♀️

There was apparently something quite funny for the controller (don't know what his real job is) to see when he checked both of us - probably white people again🙄. We don't know why, but he checked both of us for about 5 minutes. They take a photo of you (without you noticing) and then compare this picture with the one from your ID. (Anyone who knows what Jasna looked like when she was 16 - knows why he stared at her for so long😂😂 she will probably never travel with this passport again😂😂😂).

Well then 100 baggage checks, another check from Hong Kong - and then it was done. We have left China and finally have been allowed to enter Hong Kong🤙🏽🤙🏽😂 (here too you get your own entry and exit permit again). So boys - inform yourselves in advance before someone gets the stupid idea to do the same thing😂😂

After that, we rushed again 45 minutes with the metro from the very north to the south of the northern island to get to our hotel (location is linked in the map).

As always, we couldn't find the guesthouse. The address was different from what was shown in Apple Maps. Since our backpacks on our back felt heavier and heavier, we became restless and just wanted to put the shit down 💩.

In addition, 28 degrees (actually great) wasn't really helpful🙄.

Thank God the people here are really insanely friendly and helpful. In addition, they all speak English here (this is a dream 😍) and you can communicate. Even the construction workers - we suddenly found ourselves in the middle of a construction site - speak English 🤷🏽‍♀️. Most construction workers in Germany don't even speak German🤦🏽‍♀️

After 100 questions, we finally found our room - small and not quite so fine - but okay😂

We shower on the toilet and can brush our teeth in parallel - without moving from the spot - but other than that it's fine.

Well, then we just set off and finally wanted to get something to eat.

Searched - found. Even delicious 😛😛

Hong Kong is simply a different world from what we have experienced in the last two weeks.

Many people - that has remained - but Hong Kong is simply more western and everything feels a bit more normal for us aliens.

Many foreigners (there are soooooo many Ranjids here), no one looks stupid, everyone is friendly...

However, the food here is really expensive. But apparently we are really in a popular district - at least here only Maseratis, Porsches, Teslas and Bugattis are driving around and there are Prada, Rolex, etc... again - you can also tell from the people.

The district is really worth seeing though.

The city is incredible. We were at two different harbors and the skyline........ 🌃🌇 GREAT!

And still, everyone is so relaxed.....

We are excited about the next few days 😍

(We were offered drugs twice today... what's wrong with us 😂😂😂🤦🏽‍♀️)

We will seeeee😎😎

A brief statement about Yangshuo:

-Hotel was amazing  👌🏽

- the small village is incredibly beautiful

- the landscape is absolutely stunning

- unfortunately, one full day was far too short 😕😕 (so, if anyone wants to go to China - Go to Yangshuo!!!!)
