After I spent yesterday 3 hours to upload all the fotos I haven't had so much time left but went to this canyon.
That was in Terma de Reyes.
My plan was originally to walk to a viewing point but that would have needed 2-3 hours and I also needed to go shopping to cook for my CS host later, so you guys only get these mediocre shots 🤣
Refreshingly the supermarkets here also have 'ugly food' (for non Europeans reading this: Supermarkets don't buy 'ugly food' because it sells bad, so it often gets thrown away, which is terrible in my opinion!)
I was happy and bought the two ugliest carrots I found.
Just the casual, beautiful way back home.
Sooo there is this cat which always watches when I go to the toilet. If I pet her, she jumps on my lap, while I'm doing my business on the toilet. She absolutely got no sense for privacy. She is also watching while I take a shower. If I let her, she jumps on my shoulders. Walking around doesn't really bother her.
The picture is pretty blurry, she uses her claws to stay in place and that hurts 🙄
Louis place is wonderful - hammocks, swimming pool, beautiful garden, huge tidy house. I could totally stay here for longer but kind of have to move on. I think this is by far the best experience I have had in Couchsurfing yet, not only because the place is incredible, Louis is a super cool dude. Chill to spend time with, super helpful with everything, even drives me around in his car when it's not on his way. Many evenings we talked until late, I always wondered how fast the time flies by with him. He buys food likes it's the most normal thing in the world for his guests. I have never felt so welcomed and at home during my travels.
On my last evening I had to return atleast a little bit of all the favors he did and cooked him Käsespätzle. Sadly the strongest cheese I found was cheddar, so they didn't quite turned out how I was used to but still liked them.
Louis be safe, thanks for everything - it was a huge pleasure to be your guest!
On my way to Humahuaca I passed the small town Maimará which is famous for it's mountains 'Paleta del Pintor' which translates to 'painter's palette'.
The Maimará has a viewing point, Jesus is so nice to show the direction.
No, this is not it but also beautiful.
This is the painter's palette.
The colors are best in the early morning but I'm not getting up early for that when I have to catch a bus 🤷🏼‍♂️
Here is a panorama, I had to reduce the quality to upload it - decide for yourself if the name painter's palette is appropriate.

In Humahuaca my Couchsurfing host is Fermin, a really chill, down to earth guy who looks a bit like a hipster from Berlin with a South America touch - I'm sure we are gonna have a great time!
He works in the hostel where I would have gone to, when I would not have found a Couchsurfing host - super funny in my opinion.
The hostel is crazy beautiful, every single wall is painted in different styles.
This is the hallway
The reception
The end of the hallway
The 'living room'
Close up of the map of South America you already saw in the first picture.

It's already past 5 so I don't anything today except some travel planning and walking through the town but the stuff tomorrow is going to be really cool! The WiFi here is slow but maybe I'll update you rather soon again, stay tuned ❤️
