We spend our night very peacefully in a small bay along the road to Vradeto, overlooking a "branch" of the Vikos Gorge.
Vradeto is the highest village in the area and was only accessible by foot via a stone staircase leaning against the cliffs until the early 1970s. This so-called "Vradeto Steps" are part of our hike today from Kapesovo, the village below Vradeto, to the Beloi viewpoint high above the Vikos Gorge.
This varied hike takes up so much time that there's just enough left for a small stroll through Kapesovo afterwards. During this walk, we strike up a conversation with a local. He tells us, among other things, that in winter only 18 people live here. There are significantly more stray cats around!
Although the weather was mostly friendly today, we haven't had much luck with our photo stops. Just before returning, we also get a light shower.
