Karimunjawa II

Karimunjawa, definitely a dream island.

Sunrise from our favorite beach.

Our homestay in Karimun.

Mangrove forests, where the famous dragons also live. But discovering them is quite difficult. We only discovered one here by chance while taking pictures.

Aside from fishing, seaweed production is the main livelihood of the people here.

Dream beaches everywhere and nothing going on.
When you buy a coconut to drink here, it's quickly picked from the palm by a jungle boy :D

Lovehill

Beer with a view.... could get used to it...

In the evening, we go to the local football field, which turns into a night market where the catch of the day is sold and freshly grilled...

So much fresh fish, extremely good, and extremely cheap...
Our personal favorite, 'Bandung' (the square one in the middle), unfortunately, we couldn't find out the actual name of the fish.

We eat here directly on the ground, on plastic sheets. Very simple but soooo extremely good!

Beach Life

Since the way to the island was way too difficult and we discovered a small airport, we decided to fly back to Java. The flight ticket is still handwritten here and before the flight, we (along with our luggage) had to step on the scale to not be too heavy. When we saw the airplane, we knew why.... hahaaa :D
