It all started in Walbeck near Geldern.
Actually, we were on a trip to Holland with our parents. Our first pitch was in Neer, the Hanssum marina. 5 pitches, right on the banks of the Maas. A few meters away was an XXL restaurant. Everything was great here too...BUT... walking the dogs was not possible, or only on the sidewalk through the village. So we continued on our own and ended up on the German side in Walbeck. A small asparagus village right on the Dutch border. The pitch is located next to a forest swimming pool and directly on a huge forest with lakes that leads to Holland. The place is lined with tall trees and is simply beautiful in my opinion. You can walk to the bakery, there is a Rewe market and several restaurants. Among other things, there is a Croatian restaurant with wonderful steaks. It takes two minutes to walk to the forest and max. 20 minutes to Arcen (Holland) and you are right on the Maas. Whether on foot with the dogs or by bike... just beautiful. The whole thing costs 8 euros per night. Walbeck is 45 minutes away from us and sometimes we just drive there from Saturday to Sunday to catch our breath. This campsite gets 10 out of 10 points from us.
