In the morning, we took it easy. After all, we are on vacation. Then, around 12 o'clock, we headed towards Mosjoen. Along the fjord and over two mountain passes, we drove to Nesna. There, we had to wait for about 1 hour for the ferry to Lavong. The ride took about 35 minutes. Then, we continued through magnificent mountain landscapes and tunnels. One tunnel was 10 km long! The tunnels are functional, but not without danger. Single lane with oncoming traffic and no separate escape tunnel. We drove along the sea to Mosjoen. Mosjoen has 10,000 inhabitants and is therefore one of the largest cities in the Nordland region. The Sjogata with its old wooden houses from the early 19th century on the Vefsna river is the attraction. We had a Norwegian sandwich in an old cafe before heading to the campsite. Let's see where we will go tomorrow.
