Hello, we spent the last few days on the island of Cape Breton. Because the national park is still closed and most of the campsites are not open at this time, we slept "wild". You can drive around part of the island on the Cabot Trail (approx. 300 km long). One of the most beautiful routes in North America. Driving is fun mainly because of the scenery, but also because the price of diesel is around €1.20. We met interesting people. In a hiking car park where we spent the night, a country singer who is well-known in Nova Scotia (she is in the hall of fame there) approached us and gave us a CD with a dedication. At another overnight spot, we met Austrians who are planning a similar tour to us, but then want to go to South America. They are planning on spending about 2-3 years.
