Today's day is completely chaotic... something is wrong.
We planned to visit the 9/11 Museum, the World Trade Observatory, and the Statue of Liberty.
We took the train for 20 minutes towards the World Trade Center. Since we had to book a time slot for the skyscraper and we could only do it on-site, we went there first... next available slot at 4 pm. Unfortunately, it overlapped with another attraction, so we couldn't do it on this day. So, next plan was the Museum of 9/11... there, we had to wait again for a time slot, unfortunately, we didn't know that. When we got to the front of the ticket counter, they told us we had to wait for an hour before we could enter the museum... our plan for today didn't work out. And here too, we were unsuccessful. Disheartened from the morning, we went to the opposite Oculus to warm up.
We needed a plan B. By the time we finished standing in all the lines, it was noon, and the crew was hungry. Today, we wanted to try the American Subway. Each had a sandwich. We sat there comfortably until the feeling of leaving started. While we were getting dressed, suddenly, it started raining from the ceiling. A black soup that came down out of nowhere. Everyone was running away. We got dressed and watched the whole thing from outside until we had to leave. Whether the fire department came or not remains a mystery.
We continued to the harbor, where we wanted to take the ferry to the Statue of Liberty because we had booked tickets for 3 pm... when we arrived there, we had to stand in line again... stood for over 1 hour, pushing from left and pushing from right... we managed to get on the last ferry and got lucky. Since we were frozen, we decided not to get off. We could only admire the Statue of Liberty and the New York skyline from the ship... which was also very beautiful!
After feeling like all plans failed today, we wanted to make one last attempt and drove towards Hudson Yards. There was the observation deck: The Edge.
Again, we had to stand in line... step by step, we moved forward.
2 hours of waiting until we were in the elevator. Then, within 60 seconds, we were on the 100th floor.
The view was PRICELESS!
New York by night!
Thus, an exhausting and freezing day came to an end.
Good night! 😘
