Day 30: Mosquito Invasion

Today we set off early. Soon we will pass the German border. Here we realize that our vacation is almost over.

Our destination is Riedenburg in the Altmühltal. We drive to a small campsite and are greeted by waving Felix, who shows us our spot. We are very happy to see Babett, Stefan, Philipp, and Felix. Marik immediately takes over the boys and runs around the area. There is still time for a little trip. And so we drive to the Weltenburg Monastery at the Danube Gorge. This Benedictine abbey is beautiful to look at.

We go to the Danube and throw all the stones into it.

Marik accidentally gets a big rock on his hand and we have to cool his hand in the river. Hungry from the long drive, we eat a delicious Obazda, soup and ice cream at the monastery. Of course, there is also beer. Back at the campsite, we start the grill. There are a lot of mosquitoes and we can hardly keep up with spraying ourselves. Even attempts to repel the pests with high frequencies via mobile phone are unsuccessful. It only becomes more bearable when it's dark. But the wine and good company still make it a nice evening.

Tomorrow we will go home. Here, there will only be one post for statistics and analysis.
