The feet are feeling much better now. I walked a whole two kilometers (non-stop shops on both sides) and they still feel good! So, back to the foot massage tonight
Still, had to walk back from the old Vietnamese shopping center in Ritschka. They only exist in Hanoi now, only tourists can be seen inside. They have been abolished in Ho-Chi-Minh (Saigon), the scooter taxis have taken over. But you see a lot fewer cars in Ho-Chi-Minh. And in Bac Lièu, I only saw individual cars 4 years ago. It's much more pleasant for pedestrians. But you don't see e-scooters like in Malaysia here.
The old colonial trade centers are completely filled with dozens of small stores, without any separations. On two floors. Simply moved the shops here from the sides of the streets. That's what they call a shopping center here. It looks exactly like the old colonial trade center in Bac-Lièu.
One highlight in the good hotels: the rooftop pool. On the 12th floor, only about 5 * 15 meters. In Vietnam, a pool or public bath is never less than 1.45 meters deep. Swimming is not a popular sport in Asia. Laura is an excellent swimmer and leaves everyone behind in the pool. From October 1st, warning signs will be put up, only swimmers allowed!
The water is never heated. Actually, it should be cooled. It's the same temperature as the surroundings. So now it's 30° (air temperature 35°). I can't cool off...
Tomorrow we're going to Ha Long and the famous bay. Only for two days.
