*Waving Britta says hey*

the caffeine rush wears off and slowly turns into tiredness. Luckily, in this post I can let the photos speak for themselves.

When I first arrived at the Serra da Estrela, I was amazed by nature and how it can show itself in so many different forms. The stone formations that appear in this "mountain" or high plateau leave so much room for your own imagination.

So much for my hike: 4 hours, 400 m altitude and a lot of cool places and paths. My absolute highlight was the hiking gap through which an old mountain house including a picnic area could be reached. And it may seem very, very tight in the pictures - and it was. But I got through it and my climbing self was so happy about the challenge.

At the end I was able to go swimming in the fresh mountain lake or reservoir and wash off the sweat from the tour. The hike was a dream and the region is incredibly beautiful.

I could line you up picture by picture, but I'd rather let you look at the pictures yourself. I also put my thoughts on one or two pictures in the picture description.

With that in mind, enjoy the pictures,
Your Britta
