08.01.2020 - Day 13 - Singapore

After a very good breakfast at the hotel, we set off for Chinatown, which lives up to its name. There are colorful and very funny stalls everywhere with all sorts of stuff and, above all, Chinese food in every form, color, and smell. Above all, the so-called stinky fruit durian seems to be all the rage at the moment. By the way, our hotel reception directly asked us not to bring durian to the hotel during check-in 🤭🥴.

After that, we took the subway and the bus to a nearby island in Resort World Sentosa, a combination of Disneyland and Las Vegas, with hotels, casinos, restaurants, and all kinds of attractions, such as the impressive S.E.A. Aquarium, which we visited.

Then we took a taxi, the best means of transportation 😉, back to the hotel, where we had a little swim in the rooftop pool and enjoyed the view. In the evening, we had dinner with Michael, our Harley buddy, and our dear friend Manuela, the good spirit of the "Secco Hut", who happen to be in Singapore as well and will start a cruise 🚢 from there tomorrow. We celebrated the spontaneous and very nice meeting with two buckets of beer 🍻🍻🍻.

By the way, Singapore is one of the cities worldwide with the highest cost of living. You can easily pay 16€ for two beers at a snack bar here 😳
