Heiß, heißer, am heißesten...

... not my temperatures. Even though it was somehow bearable at Lake Como thanks to the wonderful lake. The lake is great! ... crystal clear, warm, and surrounded by a fantastic backdrop. I sit or bob in the water and can't get enough of the view. I don't like lying on the beach = boring, but even in the water, it eventually gets boring. I can't be active (we've tried) = heat death. Shopping is air-conditioned, but = boring. I would love to drink one Spritz after another, but I wouldn't make it past 2 in these temperatures without embarrassing myself. I can't eat all day either, no appetite... surrender... I give in to my fate and suffer... suffer and complain until Micha wants to continue. :-)

We drive north until we reach temperatures below 28°C. That means: we navigate the Stelvio Pass with cars, crazy motorcyclists, and daredevil cyclists, just to come down the other side with everyone. I feel sick from the serpentines and the many cyclists that I constantly see on our too short hood. Of course, nothing happens. I think it's only cold up here because incredible numbers of guardian angels slow down the sun's rays. We drive and drive, it gets hotter and hotter. All the carefully chosen destinations fall through... 36°C... keep going. It's evening, up Timmelsjoch, and finally a parking lot and 24°C. Tomato & Mozzarella, a good red wine, and the spirits slowly awaken again. We don't find peace. That's prevented by a proper thunderstorm and the milkman who puts the milk on the street at 4 a.m.
