Trip to Loreto

This morning we slept in, then had a leisurely breakfast and afterwards we visited the town of Loreto, located 5km inland. A beautiful, clean and well-kept town awaited us. In the old town center there is a beautiful square, right in front of the cathedral. The cathedral itself is located where the house was where the Virgin Mary lived (well, or was supposed to have lived). In any case, there is an abundance of worship of the Virgin Mary here, with the corresponding shops, processions, Pope and Bishop pictures and statues...
But on Mondays, apparently, there is not much going on here, so we visited the town at our leisure, including the obligatory cappuccino. It is very beautiful here.
Afterwards, we went to a huge supermarket to do some shopping and now we have enough supplies for now (beer, wine, water...) and we also thought of dinner for today and tomorrow. Today we will have Gambas al Ajillo and tomorrow we will grill.
Tomorrow we have planned a lazy day and the day after tomorrow we will take the ferry to Patras.

Hallo ihr drei! Also mit der Maria, das ist ja ein Ding! Da, in Italien soll die gelebt haben, wo sich doch zu mindest der Anfang des Neuen Testamentes im Nahen Osten abgespielt hat. Nach Christi Himmelfahrt ist ja auch kaum noch von der heiligen Maria die Rede. Also, wo sie abgeblieben ist. Oder? Naja, so viel weiß ich darüber auch nicht. Da war ich gerade mal nicht dabei. Interessant, das Ganze!!!
Aber euch geht es anscheinend gut, und das ist zunächst die Hauptsache. Weiterhin viel Spaß, und gute Reise! Lieben Gruß von uns zwei +zwei!!!!Wolfgang
