Day 3

Leiwen - Wintrich Camping Georgenhof

Yippee, the tent was barely wet this morning. Bought a can of espresso in the store, a stick of Gouda, jam and 2 rolls. I had breakfast on the bench in front of the sanitary building, where I also had a glimpse of my power bank😉. Electricity is an important topic for this tour. Saying goodbye to Leiwen, I then walked to Neumagen-Dhron. Nice campsite, nice village, but only 11:45. Quickly checked Komoot, okay, I'll deviate from the Moselsteig today and walk to the Georgenhof campsite in Wintrich. Kesten, the actual destination, has neither rooms nor a campsite.

On the way I met a woman who almost came out of the bushes, she was lost. Well, it's good that it's not just me, I thought to myself. When I came to an ostrich restaurant about an hour later, the boss said to me: Your colleague is sitting back there, I like the hikers best. Here we met again by chance and had a nice chat for a while. I now appreciate it when I meet people where it just fits right from the start. I'm usually alone all the time. And at the campsite most people are busy with themselves.

I was able to wash here, what a blessing. I already smelled like a sheep. Happens when Merino gets sweaty a lot. But the mowing was still missing.😅
