The ferry ride to Ireland was relaxed, the sea was calm, the ship wasn't full at all, so we spent the 3.5 hours dozing and reading. The anticipation of our daughter grew from nautical mile to nautical mile. Soon we would finally be able to hug her again! How long have we not seen each other? ๐Ÿค” That must have been Easter, almost 5 months ago...

Our cats also survived everything well, they just blinked lazily at us and came back to the car deck.

At customs they were both scanned/checked again, but they didn't want to see our passports at all. With the comment (in German, mind you!): โ€œGermany? Welcome!โ€, we were waved through.

Then we wound our way south through Dublin traffic and drove to Wicklow. The road conditions are sometimes a bit adventurous (if there is a sign โ€œ80โ€ on this narrow, winding road, but we can only drive a maximum of 40, you can imagine the rest ๐Ÿ˜…). But finally we arrived at the campsite: Wolohans Silverstrand.
