Wander to Mt. Holdsworth

ຈັດພີມມາ: 06.02.2023

On the advice of our innkeeper, we hiked to Mt. Holdsworth yesterday, a nature reserve with many different hiking trails. The longest ones go up to 1400 meters high. We walked for 3 hours over rocks and stones, small bridges, suspension bridges, and up and down. Below us, there was always the sound of the river, which accompanied us the whole time, and above us, there was the loud chirping of cicadas and various bird calls. We were constantly walking through the jungle. Sometimes we thought we were in the tropics, it was so warm and humid.

We rounded off the day in a cozy pub, with fish and chips

Tomorrow we will continue to Tongariro National Park.
