Quite icy in the states, we thought as we met at the buses at 9:30 am to depart. Indeed, the East Coast is currently being ravaged by an ice and snowstorm, which would later greatly change our trip. But first, let's talk about today. It was going to be a long travel day, all the way across Pennsylvania to the neighboring state of Delaware. After 7 hours, we reached the University of Delaware in Newark.
There, we were already awaited by the university's Concert Choir. After a warm-up together, we performed a 20-minute excerpt from the B Minor Mass. Afterwards, the hosts performed two pieces by Eric Whitacre, including "Leonardo Dreams of His Flying Machine" in an impressive performance. What school and university choirs achieve here is simply magnificent. After a short gathering in the university's foyer, we went on to have dinner together.
We all spent this evening at the hotel. After a "small" room party, (most of us) fell exhausted into their beds.
