25th - 26th November 2016 Rotorua

The next morning we went back to the town to possibly buy a 'Lord of the Rings' and 'The Hobbit' book. We were not disappointed and could spend the rest of the Black Friday shopping cheaply. After our bags were filled and our pockets were emptied, we drove to our campground for the night. The next morning, we grabbed the kayaks that were provided to us for free and paddled to Lake Rotorua.

Afterwards, we went to the Humara Springs, which had very clear and blue-green water. Similar to the Blue Springs, but the path there was much shorter and not nearly as beautiful.

Then we left Rotorua and headed to the Blue Lake, where Claudi and Dibi were supposed to relax and write postcards. Suddenly, I felt the urge to do something and jogged around the lake (6 km) and cooled off in it afterwards. Then we went straight to the next campground which had hot thermal baths. We made ourselves comfortable in there and went to sleep. Apparently weakened by the exercise, I got sick. Diagnosis: Man cold. The following week, I had to begrudgingly trek from place to place and annoy Claudi with my complaints.
