On every single island, we were greeted with the words: "Welcome Home!" and treated as if we were family. We always felt so comfortable among all the happy, content, always smiling and warmly greeting Fijians. A culture that has captured us.. everyone celebrates and lives Fiji in a cheerful, singing, dancing, joyful way, helpful and grateful to every single guest, greeting everyone warmly and happily. Everyone is relaxed, not stressed, and laid back. We are deeply impressed by the Fijis! Not only by the paradise islands that rise so small and dreamlike out of the water, with countless palms and wonderful beach and sea, the unique snorkeling and diving opportunities, but also because of the uniquely great, warm-hearted people who live there.
The time on Treasure Island was wonderful again.. Relaxation on the beach, relaxing in hammocks, parrots in the garden, turtle hatchery, which we visited daily (several times), cultural dances and songs every evening, traditional Kava ceremony and and and.. Kava is a traditional drink that looks like dirty water, tastes a bit like it too, but has an intoxicating effect in large quantities and numbs the tongue even in smaller amounts.. crazy! ((-:
Treasure Island is now behind us and so are the Fijis, where we had a wonderful time. The last hours on the main island in Nadi near the airport, we spent a lot of time at and in the pool (with extensive use of the water slide, because we can still grow up later.. when we're big;)! The flight from Nadi to Sydney (from where we will continue to Bangkok on Monday and then Koh Samui, where we will meet Christopher) was relaxed and of course slightly delayed.. we will miss them, the FIJI - TIME ! 😎🌺🌴🇫🇯💃🏾🏝🐠
