Tag 54-56 Kauai

21.1. The flight goes from Hilo via Honolulu to Lihue. The usual game at the car rental company. This time the car stays small.😊 Kauai makes a great impression right away. What a nature! After a short shopping trip, we land at the Kauai Inn. The sun is already disappearing behind the mountains. So we use the time to do laundry. The dryer devours one quarter after another.🤑 Tomorrow finally has to be a day at the beach again.

22.1. After toast with margarine and jam and watery coffee, we are ready for the day.😋 We drive to Poipu Beach. We first go through Koloa to 'Spouting Horn' (spouts 15m high) and then to the beach. There are 2 monk seals lying on the beach and they are not bothered. The sky is blue and we spend the whole day at the beach. Wonderful!

23.1. Today we take a catamaran tour to the Napali Coast. On the way there, we snorkel with turtles and many colorful fish. Whales and dolphins accompany us. The coast is amazing! On the way back, we get very close to the humpback whales. One even jumps right in front of us. The photo is unfortunately a little too late.😂 After the tour, we drive to Waimea Canyon in the mountains. A great view. The landscape on Kauai is indeed something special.
