SLC is definitely worth a visit! A very pleasant city and surprisingly untypical American. The layout of the city, the architecture of many houses, the nice bars, and the overall atmosphere were very pleasant to us. Also very green, even the central shopping center was surrounded by streams and green plants, which made shopping much more enjoyable! The actual center and at the same time the origin of the city is located at Temple Square. It is the spiritual center of the Mormons, a district full of religious meeting places that are accessible to the public, including the temple. The whole region is shaped by this religion and you can get a lot of information about its origins here, without feeling pressured in any way. What particularly stands out are the many large families with their many children, on average at least 4-5. Prenzlauer Berg has thus lost its status as the largest playground, SLC is definitely in first place ;-)
The next day we made a little detour to the Great Salt Lake. A surreal dry landscape. The lake is almost as salty as the Dead Sea. Unfortunately, bathing was not possible, it was simply too shallow.
