On this day, we finally left Brittany and drove to Tours. We plan to spend the next few days in the Loire Valley on our bikes. The hotel, The People Hostel, the bike shop for rentals, the tourist information office, and the train station are all very close to each other. It's really a stroke of luck for our further planning! It's also very lucky that we got our booked hotel room because there were problems with the Visa Debit card again! But otherwise, everything is going very well: we have a free parking space that doesn't cost anything (otherwise, it's a maximum of three hours with complicated payment or a parking garage for a week), a very large bike shop that we have already made personal contact with, and also the nearby tourist information office. The People Hostel is a very modern building with all imaginable amenities. A reception with a bar, a beer garden behind the house, fast Wi-Fi, and a cozy room with bunk beds. But they are different: a small, somewhat unusual, but very comfortable staircase leads up, and both beds look more like modern alcoves, and a small fan, which runs on a USB connection, fits perfectly! In addition, the hotel has its own restaurant with fresh and varied dishes. We spent the entire afternoon drinking in the garden and enjoying being here. Now a waiter came and took our order, really top-notch. The breakfast tomorrow morning, which we only booked afterwards (8.50€), will surely not disappoint us either!
