Day 20 - 18.9.2024 Departure from LA

The alarm clock rang this morning at 5:30 AM. We then took our time to get ready and packed the car.

We made ourselves a coffee at the hotel and then set off by car towards Los Angeles Airport. After 2 km, I suddenly realized that I wasn't wearing my watch. So we had to turn back to the hotel. After a short search, we found it between the bed and the wall, where it had slipped. Now we could finally head to the airport.

We stopped occasionally to enjoy the beautiful views. Once in Malibu and the second time in Santa Monica. In Santa Monica, I stood down by the beach and waved to Kathi up on the street when I was suddenly hit by a small wave from behind. I ended up with wet feet for a moment. Luckily, we had about an hour of driving time left, so everything was dry by the time we arrived in LA. We quickly filled up the car and dropped it off at Allo, then took a bus to the terminal. Here we are now waiting for our flight. We passed the time with a small pizza since we hadn't eaten anything yet.

The airplane is already here, being prepared fresh, and then Kathi can catch a little sleep.
