I'm so excited... What took so long.
A few years ago, we had considered flying to the USA, which was always viewed skeptically by me.
But then visiting friends again convinced me to change my mind.
So in January we booked flights and then dealt with the formalities. (Compared to that, bureaucracy in Germany is a piece of cake)
We booked a few hotels and also an AirBnB a couple of weeks before, but more about that at the individual stops.
So now it's Wednesday, 13th April, my suitcase has been packed to 3/4 since Monday and the rest will arrive today.
Tonight, a quick COVID-19 test, check-in, and then one more night of sleep.
