I slept for a long time today (by my standards), until 7am. I chilled out for a bit and then slowly packed up. And then I didn't leave until around 8am. Rain is forecast for 10/11 a.m., which is why I want to be in the next town where I take my break by then, but that's just the theory. In Logroño I took a look at the city on the way. Was in a church. I have to do a tour of all the beautiful cities on the Way of St. James, where I stay for 1-2 days each. It took me a while to reach my running pace. Then we went out of the city and through a park and then the sun came out. I found it particularly special that many people (with dogs, older couples) overtook me while I was walking normally. But I have to get rid of this idea that life is not a race, but the journey is decisive. I always want to get there quickly and sometimes take the shorter route to save time, but I should always choose the longest route possible because then you get more out of the way. I don't even know where I got this competitive feeling from, always having to overtake people. In any case, it remained dry, but extremely windy. So windy that you really had to fight against it. I always have to expect wind now and yet I wasn't cold on the way. I've found it really interesting so far that I usually only run with a t-shirt and a rain cape and I still don't freeze. Let's see how this develops when it gets colder. Anyway, I made it the 12.5km to Navarette and took my usual half-hour break there. But since it was windy, I decided to order a large coffee and a tostada with cheese at a bar. Well fortified, I got ready to move on...
