Here we are in one of the most beautiful capitals in the world and we are exploring the public transport network... How to get from the Guincha campsite to the airport quickest? Along the sea by train, then green metro, then red metro... ah, keep the tickets, they will be recharged! ... and you can't get off the platform without them! Lisbon?!?!?! Oh yes... quickly visit the main squares and then back. Should we write a city guide, we wouldn't need 80 days to go around the world.
On the 26th, I took Micha to the airport in the morning and embarked on a 5-day adventure alone. It started at the Oceanarium. Protected behind thick glass panels, this foreign world fascinated me. However, my favorite was the otter, who delightfully performed his show - a joyful pleasure. The other animals, on the other hand, seemed a bit indifferent... After my feet were sore, I left the former Expo site and made my way back to my Vitolino to plan the next day. I really wanted to go to Sintra.
And the next day started with drizzle, 20°C, and a promising blue stripe in the sky. So: shower, coffee, breakfast and off we go! The blue stripe in the sky held up bravely... on the coast. The mountain on which Sintra with its palaces is located appeared mystical, shrouded in thick fog. Neither the 'Neuschwanstein' of the Portuguese nor any other view was to be seen. I have a soft spot for such mystical moods and enjoyed walking through the park up to the 'summit cross'. The hop-on-hop-off buses connect the most important palaces, so I could also visit Monserrate. And suddenly it was dark and I was hungry and there was no bus in sight. I don't understand why bus timetables are displayed at bus stops here. They are not even a guide... Well, now I'm full and hoping for sunshine tomorrow.
