Arrived in Colombo

The flight with Edelweiss was very comfortable and to my surprise, I had a lot of legroom at my seat in the middle row.

Upon arrival in Colombo, I first noticed that the city is much cleaner than other well-known cities in Asia (Bangkok, Pattaya, Manila, Hanoi, Saigon).

The locals are very friendly and speak good English.

The food has been fantastic so far. But we didn't expect anything less. :)

Due to a last-minute cancellation of our originally planned accommodation, we had to find a new hotel. We ended up at Jetwing Colombo. It is a bit more expensive than originally planned. But we really like it, not least because of the rooftop bar and the infinity pool on the roof.

We will stay here for two days, then we will pick up our tuk-tuk and spend the rest of the holiday on the road.

Tomorrow we will explore Colombo in more detail.
