Rest day in Copiapo because tomorrow we are going to try to see the laguna verde at 4000m and it's a 3-hour drive.

Copiapo has 160,000 inhabitants and is known for its silver mines in the 19th century and today for its copper and iron mines. In one of these mines, an accident occurred and 33 miners were trapped. After only 17 days, the rescuers received a sign of life. After more than two months, they were rescued. The capsule is exhibited in the Atacama Museum in Copiapo.
